Minimum order

€ 100 for all countries in America (without USA), Asia and Europe (Non-EC countries)

Ordering

Please place your order by our online shop only.
We do not accept orders which are placed by phone, fax, letter, email, email attachments (Word / Excel file) or copies from our online shopping cart.
All orders will be handled according to their date of receipt

Flat rate charges

These flat rate charges are not effective if ordering very large heavy plants of pot-size 20 cm container (20C) or 25 cm bole (25S) or larger so that the postage for your order will exceed the amount which is covered by our flat rates: In such a case you will also be charged for the balance between the flat rate and the true postage.

Charges
For postage and packing we will charge you
• 35% of value of goods if the order is € 100 – 199.99
• 30% of value of goods if the order is € 200 – 299.99
• 25% of value of goods if the order is € 300 or higher

Special Regulations

CITES 1
No export of CITES I plants

Canada, Taiwan
No handling of orders without import permit. Customers will need an import permit of their country to import our plants. So please make sure that you have a valid import permit before ordering.

Special country regulations and import restrictions
Most countries of the world do have special laws and regulations for the export and import of plants. It is impossible for us to know all these regulations. It is therefore your duty to inform us beforehand about
• special import restrictions of your country
• special import regulations of your country
• or any special phytosanitary requirements

We will send the consignment according to the instructions given to us by you. We will not be responsible for any problems caused by local customs authorities or plant inspection stations because of wrong or missing instructions.

Payment in advance

Orders will only be sent after payment has been effected.

Delivery

All plants will be sent without pots and soil free. All plants will be washed carefully and treated with an insecticide before shipping.
All plants are sent by post on account and risk of consignee.
All parcels are sent with priority mail (air mail) by TNT Post.
We do not send any orders as registered mail.
We do not sent any orders with courier or express parcel services like EMS or UPS. These companies do not allow the sending of living material like animals or plants.

Time of Delivery

• After a new shop update it may take up to 4 weeks.
• Our normal time of delivery is 1 – 2 weeks.

Mailing Season

Due to cold weather conditions in Germany from October to February we will send plants only from the end of March until the end of September.

Documents

Phytosanitary certificate
All consignments will be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate. The phytosanitary certificate will be issued according to international standard regulations. If you want any specific additional comments on the phytosanitary certificate, then please give us the text to be added on the phytosanitary certificate.

Invoice
All consignments will be accompanied by an invoice.

Complaints

Within 14 days after receiving the plants.

Insurance

All consignments are automatically insured according to the standard terms of business of the post company. But these standard insurances do not always cover the whole value of a consignment. If you want us to insure the whole value of your consignment then please tell us so, and we will take out extra insurance for you. The additional cost for this must be paid by the customer in advance.

Liability

Plants will only be sent on risk of consignee. Our liability ends with the handing over of your consignment to the post. We will not take responsibility for any problems which may occur after we have sent your consignment.

a) Replacement of dead or damaged plants
Of course we take responsibility for any dead or damaged plants provided the damage is not caused by any delays in transport or any obvious damage of the packing material. In this case we will replace the damaged plants or refund the money.

b) Damage due to delays in transport
We will not be responsible for any damage of the plants due to delays of the delivery of consignments which may be caused
• by the post company
• or by local plant health inspection stations
• or by plant inspection or quarantine stations
• or by customs

If some plants are dead or damaged due to a delay in transport then the claim must be maid to one of the above mentioned companies or institutions. We will neither replace any dead or damaged plants nor refund any money for dead or damaged plants if the damage is caused by a delay in transport.

c) Damage of the packing material
If some plants are dead or damaged due to an obvious damage of the packing material (like a crushed box) then the claim must be maid to the post or the plant inspection/quarantine station immediately on receipt of the consignment. So please first check the boxes carefully before accepting their receipt. We will neither replace any dead or damaged plants nor refund any money for dead or damaged plants if the damage is caused by an obvious damage of the packing material.

d) Return of a consignment
In case the consignment should be returned due to an import refusal of the plant inspection/quarantine station then we would like to ask you to get our approval first before the consignment is being sent back. We will NOT accept any returned consignment without our agreement. If a consignment is returned without our agreement then we will refuse to accept this returned consignment and it will be destroyed on arrival. We will neither replace plants nor refund any money for a returned consignment if this consignment was returned without our agreement.

e) Lost consignments
In case that a consignment or parts of a consignment gets lost in transport then claims must be maid to the post. In this case we will make the claim and it will be a pleasure to help you.
